Two PhD positions are open at Louisiana Tech University in the fields of information theory and communication Theory, as well as their applications in wireless networks, physical layer security, distributed storage, distributed computing, big data and bioinformatics. The PhD positions are funded, starting fall 2016 or spring 2017.

Louisiana Tech University is a public research university in Ruston, Louisiana, United States. Louisiana Tech is designated as a Tier One national university by the 2016 U.S. News & World Report college rankings and is the only Tier One national university in the nine-member University of Louisiana System. Louisiana Tech is ranked #1 in Louisiana and #11 in the nation in a list of the "25 Most Underrated Colleges In America" from Business Insider.
